- 110 new parking spots to aleviate the lack of downtown parking
- Shop and restaurant space specifically targeting year-round, local businesses
- Public walking paths and open green space for community events
Fewer Crowds
Áak'w Landing is Juneau's fifth dock, meaning tourist congestion will be spread out. No more ships at anchor tendering boats to bus parking lots.
- This saves 2,400 tender trips each year, opening the channel for local boaters
- The daily ship limit remains at five, so more capacity means smaller crowds
- Saves an estimated 8,400 bus trips through downtown Juneau each year
